Pauquachin First Nation is a strong independent nation that takes pride in ȻEṈEṈITEL ȽTE (working together). Through unity BOḰEĆEN will thrive as a safe, healthy and successful nation taking an active role to protect our lands and resources for our SELISET (family).

Pauquachin First Nation holds existing title on three Indian Reserves in the Saanich Inlet basin on Southern Vancouver Island.  There are currently 412 registered members and all on-reserve Pauquachin members reside in Coles Bay IR #3, where existing land use is largely residential with some cultural and administrative amenities found primarily in the western reaches.

In the Pauquachin community, the two traditional languages that are spoken and written are HUL’Q’UMI’NUM and SENCOTEN.

Pauquachin employs 50 FTE who support our community by providing health, education, employment, day care, housing, and shellfish restoration services.
