Rise Sun Farm Ltd. is urgently looking to hire 4 fulltime/ permanent Farm Supervisors to work at their farm located at 3105 Cedar Rd. Nanaimo, BC V9X 1W1
Job Description:
Year around coordinating and supervision of the work of general farm workers in planting, cultivating and harvesting.
Develop work schedule of the farm workers.
Train new workers. Oversee the overall handling of produce.
Meet production targets and maintain quality control.
Ensure that work is done in a timely manner and health/safety policies are followed.
Updating owner about the progress.
Prepare reports and maintain records of the farm equipment.
Must work outdoors in extreme weather conditions and in a physically demanding fast paced environment.
Minimum high school education, knowledge of English language and 1 to 2 years of related work experience required. Salary is $20/hour ( minimum 40 hours per week)
Work start date : As soon as possible.
